Whenever he drove by the old church, his head fell back, and he closed his eyes, waiting for her screams to fill his head. Then, and only then, he could taste the blood from her moist, bitten lips. But, ever and always, he had to drive fast by that ancient church. No one could see him look too long, or they might wonder and search the place. And if they did, then Sarah, from the milk carton that everyone in the village knew, would be found lying dead, just inside the door.
