She came in by the outside door and suddenly saw that the shiplap was crooked. Instantly her despair loomed, converging in her spirit like overlapping shadows already present. Due to its slightly bent foot, the ladder was also crooked. That was probably one giant problem she’d overlooked, although there were others. For example: why try to do shiplap all by yourself, as well as the crappy drywall job underneath? She let her nail-gun drop, feeling like an idiot.
