It was my first time on a plane. I pretended to be completely comfortable and act as if I’d been on one before. I didn’t want my friends to think I was scared, so I tried to be carefree and talk about all the fun we’d have when we landed. We’d even have fun driving home after our fun was over. Inside, however, I thought I was going to die. Humans developed without wings for a reason and trying to use technology to get around it is ridiculous. We are supposed to stay on the ground! After my friends fell asleep, I looked out the window and could feel my chest roaring in fear. The sun was dipping beneath the clouds and the sky soon began to turn black. I looked at the ground and closed my eyes, trying to force myself to go to sleep. I swore, then, that I would never get on a plane ever again.
